Upon graduation from our pharmacy tech program for North Carolina residents, you will receive your U.S. Career Institute Certificate of Completion attesting to your accomplishment. Graduates are eligible to take advantage of an 80-hour Walgreens externship. The externship does not have an additional tuition cost, and is available to all graduates who meet the Walgreens Externship requirements. Even though the externship is optional, we encourage our graduates to take advantage of this great resource to get valuable hands-on experience. If you meet the requirements our graduate support team will help you set up the externship in your area!

Register with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy (NCBOP): Submit an online application and pay the registration fee.
Complete Training: Enroll in an accredited pharmacy technician training program or receive on-the-job training under a licensed pharmacist.
Pass a Certification Exam: Obtain certification by passing the PTCE exam or the ExCPT exam. It’s not required by state law but highly recommended. Many employers like to see you completed a training program. Our program here at USCI can be completed in as little as 4 months.
