A. A High School diploma or equivalent is typically required and formal training through an accredited institution can also be helpful. After completing a recognized program, the next step is to sit for and pass an industry certification exam.

Q. Do I need to get Certified?
A. Upon graduating from our Massage Therapy program, you will receive your U.S. Career Institute Certificate of Completion attesting to your accomplishment. U.S. Career Institute’s Massage Therapy program will prepare you to take the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Exam (MBLEx), administered through the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB). Depending on your state and local requirements, certification or licensure may be required to obtain work.

Q. Is the Massage Program done online?
A. Massage therapy school programs vary. USCI’s Massage Therapy program is 650 clock hours – that breaks down to 450 theory through distance education and 200 hours hands-on training.

Q. How do I do hands on training?
A. Our massage program includes 4 weeks (200 hours) of hands-on-training at our Ft. Collins massage therapy school in Fort Collins, CO. We generally hold between 6-8 sessions of hands-on-training per year.

Q. Can I do the hands-on-training anywhere else?
A. Our hands-on-training is only offered in Colorado, if you are unable to attend, you can check with your state requirements to see if they will allow you to do the online portion and then supplement any hands-on hours locally.
