USCI’s HVAC program will provide you with the entry-level knowledge. The completion of this program may help you find entry-level employment or apprenticeships, or may help those already employed at the entry or apprentice level gain additional knowledge. According to the BLS, “New HVACR technicians typically begin by working alongside experienced technicians...and some technicians receive their training through an apprenticeship. Apprenticeship programs usually last 3 to 5 years.”
Some states and localities require HVACR technicians to be licensed; check with your state and locality for more information.” (Source: https://www.bls.gov/ooh/installation-maintenance-and-repair/heating-air-conditioning-and-refrigeration-mechanics-and-installers.htm#tab-4, accessed 11/10/2021).
