Weston Distance Learning wrapped up their summer United Way fundraising campaign at the end of August. This is the second year Weston partnered with United Way to contribute to their mission of community support.
The United Way of Larimer County improves the lives of people in the community through assisting with their financial opportunities, caring for their health and basic needs and helping children succeed. Their efforts focus on building a more stable and thriving community. And through employee and company contributions, Weston is a part of these efforts.
For this campaign, an employee committee organized fundraising events including “pay to wear jeans” days in the office and a Cash for Costumes contest where employees paid to see their favorite manager in a funny costume. And the largest contribution was in the form of payroll deduction commitments. In addition, the company provided a $1,000 match of employee contributions. The grand total came to $3,755. This money demonstrates Weston’s commitment to keeping Larimer County a special place to live and work.
