Program Overview

This certificate program prepares students to either join the healthcare team as an EKG Technician or expand their existing role with essential EKG technician skills.

Although this program does not include the live skills training required to pursue industry certification, it delivers the knowledge and practical skills necessary to enter the field successfully.

Graduates may sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified EKG Technician (CET) exam via the NHA’s Pre-Externship Route; however, graduates will need hands-on experience completing a minimum of 10 EKGs on live individuals, following completion of the program, to receive certification. This experience is not included in the program. Graduates must complete this experience within 90 days of passing the CET exam and are responsible for securing their own experience site.

The EKG Technician certificate program is designed by subject matter experts who actively work in the field and our in-house curriculum team.
