Content Creation Model

U.S. Career Institute uses the ADDIE method for program development:

Analysis
Curriculum planning is ongoing and part of the annual strategic planning process. Ideas originate from staff, Program Advisory Council, Subject Matter Experts, and even student feedback.
Design
The instructional design team of curriculum/project managers, faculty, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) develop objectives and learning outcomes, with course design informed by Cognitive Load Theory and Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
Development
The design committee then develops original copyrighted content, adhering to strict rules such as prohibiting the use of AI and prior approval for any new technology.
Implementation
Once approved by the DPOS for the State of Colorado which requires review by three unaffiliated industry experts, and DEAC accreditation is granted, appropriate faculty, staff, and support resources are established and trained.
Evaluation
Student achievement and satisfaction are measured via student lesson reviews and surveys. Success with the curriculum and recommendations for revisions are assessed to improve quality and student outcomes.
